Success Story

On Saturday, 28th May saw our U6 team go to Bourne Juniors FC tournament with the weather conditions being a mixture of sun, rain and wind.

One Touch Football Development Squad started brightly with a 7 – 0 win. During the day One Touch Football only had one shot at there goal all day and didn’t concede a goal all day. We scored 25 goals from 6 games.

A lot of spectators were amazed by the players technical ability and team game, which is great to hear. Well done lads!

Success Story

On a very windy Sunday, 22 May at Corby Business Academy, Glenn and Dave Vaughans'Stamford "One Touch" Football Development School'sU10's and U9's competed for their respective Trophies over a day long period.

The U10's played Kettering Town, York City, Rushden and Diamonds, Blisworth Youth Academy and Weekely Rovers. One draw, 3 wins and one defeat saw them into the final against Weekely Rovers, the only team to beat them in the rounds.

One Touch kept their best for the final playing to their potential against an excellent side with Adam Jordan sending them on their way with a superb left foot screamer from outside the box high into the net with the keeper transfixed. Just before the end Jordan hit a pinpoint corner to Alfie Earlam at the far post who confidently headed in to secure a great victory and the Trophy.

Success Story

The U9's Final followed and their path to the final was exactly the same as the U10's with one draw, 3 wins and one defeat playing Rushden and Diamonds in the final who had beaten them in the rounds.

James Tyers was excellent throughout in goal while Sam Jordan hit a cracker from outside the box after picking up a pass from the industrious Jack Darby to take the lead.

With 1 minute left, a thumper from Jack Darby just over the half way line using the wind was parried by the keeper but fell over the line for a fantastic victory and the Trophy with Darby voted the "One Touch" man of the Tournament.
